The HVAC Estimator is responsible for delivering quality, accurate, and on-time HVAC system estimates. This position is responsible for ensuring installation documents are accurate for ordering and installation purposes.

Review plans, itemize necessary take-offs (either manually, with help from vendors or using software), request and keep track of submittals, solicit quotes and generate complete proposals
Present project proposals and close sales to commercial customers
Lead us into using software for estimating or tools to improve efficiency
Closely supervise and pay attention to contractual requirements and partial billing opportunities
Generate new customers through networking and customer referrals. Take opportunities to convert project customers to service and project management customers
Meet with customers at their convenience, and as often as necessary
Attend company meetings and weekly team training meetings and sales meetings
Work closely with the Sales Manager communicating the status of proposals, the scope of work, invoicing and documenting follow-up actions
Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and critically question HVAC System specifications, color sheets, blueprints, cad drawings, scopes of work, and general bid packages
Displays a sense of urgency and completes tasks in timely manner
Knowledge of commercial codes and permit requirements
Knowledge of standard installation processes for HVAC systems
Organizational skills

Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas related to policies and procedures and provide guidance to management and employees, verbally and in writing
Ability to follow safety standards

Regular and reliable attendance
High school diploma or equivalent
Possess a valid driver’s license
Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Ability to operate tablet, computer, mobile phone and other field and office equipment as needed
Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work
Ability to lift/carry up to 100lbs repeatedly during work hours
Ability to climb up and down ladders and/or step stools repeatedly during work hours
Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time during work hours
Ability to work in small and confined dark spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, etc.
Ability to work in a wide range of temperatures (indoor/outdoor)
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time between job sites and customer locations
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
